Water, oil or dirt will not damage the Blue Smart IP67 Charger. The casing is made of cast aluminium and the electronics are moulded in resin.

Setting a new industry standard: with 92% efficiency or better, these chargers waste three to four times less heat. And once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to less than a Watt, some five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Adaptive 5-stage charge algorithm: bulk – absorption – recondition – float – storage

The Blue Smart Charger features a microprocessor controlled ‘adaptive’ battery management. The ‘adaptive’ feature will automatically optimise the charging process relative to the way the battery is being used.

Storage Mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use

The storage mode kicks in whenever the battery has not been subjected to discharge during 24 hours. In the storage mode float voltage is reduced to 2,2 V/cell (13,2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimise gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to ‘equalize’ the battery. This feature prevents
stratification of the electrolyte and sulphation, a major cause of early battery failure.

Charges Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries

LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple bulk – absorption – float algorithm.

Protected against overheating

Can be used in a hot environment such as a machine room. Output current will reduce as temperature increases up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.

        • Which charger do i need to charge two 100 amp hr. batteries?

          I'll be using the assumptions below in my answer to your question about what charger to use for two 100 Ah AGM batteries:
          1. The batteries are Trojan Group 31 12V Deep Cycle AGM with a 20 hour capacity rating of 100 amp hours (Ah).
          2. The batteries are wired in parallel to form a battery bank, so that the voltage remains at 12V and the total 20 hour capacity of the bank is 200 Ah.
          3. The battery bank will be discharged to no more than 50% state of charge.
          4. Charging will be accomplished via 110/120V AC power if using a "shore power" source.
          Reviewing the Trojan User Manual, they state that for their AGM batteries that a two phase charging program be used with phase one a constant current bulk charge and phase two a constant voltage absorption charge.  They state the constant current for the bulk charge should be no more than 20% of the bank capacity, so 200 Ah x 0.20 = 40 amps.  Victron's IP67 Blue Smart Charger comes in four models with the highest output model being 25 amps.  As long as your AC power source can support the 25A charger then you would want to go with that model.  You could also consider other battery chargers with up to 40A of output.  On page 12 of the User Manual for the IP67 Blue Smart Charger you can see that the charger supports AGM batteries in its "Normal" mode.
           
          Victron makes a number of 12V battery to battery chargers and the highest output model is 30A.  As long as your alternator can support the 30A current then you could use that or you could also use two of the 20A models wired in parallel if your alternator can support 40A.  This would give you redundancy in case of failure and the maximum charge rate that your batteries would support.  Wee Boats is likely going to be adding Victron battery to battery charger products to the portfolio soon.
